Get to know Alyssa Bartel, OTR/L

 Get to Know Your RC Staff:

This week, we want to introduce you to Alyssa Bartel, an Occupational Therapist at the Rosenberg Center. 

Would you share a little about your education and professional background?

I have both a bachelor and master’s degree in occupational therapy from the University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee.

What do you love most about the Rosenberg Center?

I enjoy the tight knit team and their value of relationships.

How long have you worked at the Rosenberg Center?

I started working at the Rosenberg Center in March 2015.

When you have a few free minutes what hobbies do you enjoy?

 I love playing with my favorite pup and running.

What’s one of the scariest things you’ve ever done?

I think the scariest thing I have done before would be rock climbing….outdoors!

My family, my dog, and being outside make me especially happy!

 The Notebook.

What were the last two books you read?

The last two books I read were ‘Gone Girl’ and ‘Where Men Win Glory.’

If you could eat one food for the rest of your life without getting sick of it, what would it be?

 Cereal!!!

If you could hop on a plane today and fly anywhere in the world, where would you go?

I would take off to Santa Rosa, California to visit my grandparents in wine country.

What is the best advice anyone has ever given you?

Face your challenges, you are stronger than you think.

What’s something most people don’t know about you?

I ran my first ever marathon two summers ago.
