There are several critical components involved in the comprehension intervention for CAPD. 

1.        Environmental modifications:

·         Preferential seating

·         FM system (depending on the child’s needs)

·         Pre-teaching concepts and vocabulary

·         Repetition of concepts and vocabulary

·         Multi-modal learning

2.        Central Resources Training

·         Learning compensatory strategies (caregivers and the individual)

·         Self-advocacy skills

3.        Intensive auditory Training

·         Direct remediation with evidence based intervention strategies.  Such as Dichotic Listening Training (DLT).
