Sensory Friendly Museum

Did you know that the Bell Museum of Natural History has Sensory-Friendly Saturdays?

Children and their families can experience dioramas, explore the Touch & See Room and visit a mini planetarium show-all with lowered lighting, quieter sounds and fewer visitors. There are additional resources such as visual timers, weighted lap pads and hearing protection for check out. The museum has a wealth of information and plenty to see. It’s a perfect place for adults and children to learn more about nature, animals and the natural history around the world.

The museum is on the University of Minnesota's East Bank campus, at the southwest corner of 17th Avenue (Church Street) and University Avenue S.E.

Fall 2015 Events are from 8am-10am on November 14th and December 19th. Tickets are $8 for adults and $5 for children. Ask for a ticket for free admission for a child with sensory needs and one sibling at the Rosenberg Center. Call 612-626-9660 for more information or to reserve a spot for your family.
